"It is NOT a sex holiday, you stupid pervert!" Adam insists, but Steve's grin never falters, and his hand is already sliding down the small of Adam's back and past the waist band of his jeans, warm and insisting that really Adam's been doing it wrong this entire time.
Mal's stream of curses is cut off abruptly as an equally naked River pops up behind Jayne, and when Zoe inquires dryly if the two of them ain't catching a draft in this big old space ship, River tugs the orange hat down tighter over her head by the earflaps and says she is nice and toasty warm.
Wolfram thought very hard about using the knife hidden in his boot to end it all when Yozak shook out the wedding dress with glee, the green ribbons in his hair undulating threateningly, and Celi's parting "and don't forget the garter!" still ringing in the room after the slam of the dressing room door.
Wolfram's muttering through the mouthful of waffle was unintelligible, but the message that his world was finally doing something right after all was pretty clear, and Yuuri smiled and ignored his mother's self-satisfied pan-rattlings behind him as he reached over to wipe a smear of syrup off Wolfram's cheek with his thumb.
it isn't until Ritsuka is squinting at the screen in exhaustion that Soubi finally pries the controller out of his hands and agrees to continue levelling up Ritsuka's character for a while, but his nose still wrinkles in irritation when Zero starts whooping behind him at the flailing of Ritsuka's character as Soubi fiddles with the unfamiliar buttons.
"Well, a lot of it was tacky junk," Yozak grinned as Gwendal rolled his eyes and crinkled the report about Shimeron contraband merchant rings, but his gaze softened when Yozak threw back the blanket to reveal Conrad, face stained with dirt and out cold, "but I did find this."
"CLEARLY NOT," Jayne bellows, clutching Vera tight to his chest, and Mal and Zoe just roll their eyes as Jayne's bared teeth make Simon scuttle back a step and blather that he's sure he can find a stronger wrist brace after all.
"Unless you want to cancel tonight?" Misaki offers with a faint smile, and Tachiki looks up from rifling in his pockets with a blandly hostile expression when Misaki casually hands over the money to pay for Tachiki's replacement magazine.
"It's just an icepack," Inui says, putting on his 'vaguely puzzled and hurt face', and he supresses his grin when Kaidoh relents and applies the icepack directly to his bare skin, because it will ruin the surprise if Kaidoh figures out that the new Inui Epsilon Infirmi-Tea can be absorbed through the pores.
"I thought," Yuuri said, oblivious to the way Shori ground his teeth and glared at his little brother's flat stomach and how Conrad was starting to inch in between the two of them, "that only dumb boys got pregnant."
"It's completely what it looks like," Adam informs his boss miserably, and Steve is laughing much harder than she is as he hands Adam his pants while the photocopier behind them makes soothing noises.
"No thanks," Youji chirps, grin crinkling up against Natsuo's shoulder, and Muraki's irritated gaze flicks from the knife he is holding in his own hand to the one Youji has produced from thin air, "we brought our own."
"It's very modern," Soubi says soothingly, prying the paintbrush out of a red and white-spattered Ritsuka's clenched hand, and then murmurs that they can always tape the holes in the canvas shut from the back, as he tightens his grip in Ritsuka's collar to keep him from lunging at the canvas again.
"That isn't what I meant by 'pillar of support', Echizen," Tezuka says blandly as he unbuckles his seatbelt, but Echizen's smile doesn't dim even a tiny bit, because there hasn't been a single Seigaku regular that the 'Mile High Club' line didn't work on in the end.
