Let's Not Talk About What That Airfare Even Cost

The last two days have been fraught with danger:
*at the minor league baseball game, I got hit in the shoulder with a foul ball. I got the ball at least.
*at the gym, i tripped on the treadmill, but at least caught myself on the bar so i wasn't thrown into the wall behind me or anything, although my sneakers made an alarming scraping noise on the belt. my knee and ankle are both killing me now, but I won't be appearing in a Tosh.o clips montage.
*and then i ran the corner of the fridge right into the front of my big toe. what the eff.

but whatever, because kisumai tour dates are OUT baby, and even if it seems like we are getting a disaster relief song as a debut single, tour dates meant i finally got to buy my airfare to Japan. AT LAST.

it does mean i will be heading to Florida immediately after coming back from Japan, but that's all right. they're the same climate and everything, i'm sure that'll be fine ._.

i'll tell you what isn't fine aside from my visa bill, that there will be NO SHABZ IN JAPAN WITH ME. *eyes shabz* or, you know, anybody else i could trick into coming along with me, since musikologie is too far away for me to bend to my will anymore. WOEZ.

next year, i swear on everything wheeled and electric that I am taking 3B to Nagasaki, and we are going to the biopark to pet the capybara. i swear to god.

Hikaru says no

I just have this to say before i let Rosetta Stone start yelling at me

so it's Tuesday, which is early dinner with Bs, SiL, and nephew day, and today my dad comes along randomly, which, fine, i'm kind of like >_< about grown-up sibling time being infringed upon, but dad's usually no problem or whatever.

on the way out, suddenly he tries to have a talk with me about keeping mom out too late for drama night, because apparently she was all a mess? and I was like uh, no. You can eat it, for the following reasons:

1. We watched three episodes instead of two for the first time EVER, in all the time we'd been doing this, to finish a series, and we asked if that was okay and mom said she wanted to finish too. I am not her babysitter or her mother (how ironic), she is an adult, and if she wants to spend 45 extra minutes here, she can make decisions all on her own.

1A. PS, we were done before 9pm, and it is not my fault that she refuses to leave until she does a bunch of dishes and whatever the hell else, which this time meant she left at 11pm. See above re: being an adult.

2. What she was really upset about was that 2A) I bought my Japan tickets yesterday during drama night, which she is all in a tiff about, and 2B) that when she tried to complain that I saw nephew way more and she never does, i cut her off with three separate solutions to her entirely fixable drama and then said i wasn't going to listen to her complain about it when she refused to fix it.

3. i am for serious not going to tolerate a bunch of bullshit like this when I am standing in my kitchen cooking dinner for four people out of the goodness of my heart for the nth week in a row. I am sorry that mom finds it upsetting to be told she is being ridiculous, but the solution to that is to stop being ridiculous not go home and tattle on me to my father.

4. PS if it's such a big freakin deal, you'll be glad to know drama night will be on hold for three solid Mondays while she is in Italy, again, while I babysit the goddamned beagle and housesit and try to finish my school year at the same time. AW YOUR LIFE, ITS SO HARD.

and then instead of standing there talking about, like he seemed to want to do so badly at first, suddenly he was getting in his car as quickly as possible rather than actually talk about any of it. good job.

milestone 2: fail

I understand that i am a sore, cranky, sleep-deprived mess and at least half of those things are entirely my fault, but Rosetta stone seriously just made me say 'konnichi wa' over and over again until I cried.

'sayounara' and 'douzo yoroshiku' are not hardly any better. at this point, i'll have such a complex about any of those phrases by the time I actually go to Japan this summer that there's no way in hell i'll be saying them to any japanese person.

KO N NI CHI WA. what do you want from meeee you stupid, stupid program?! I would give anything ever for a 'stop making me say this one goddamn thing' option.
