Five Things Fujigaya Has Learned From His Senpai
It's in your best interests to make friends with everybody.
"Excuse me!" Fujigaya called cheerfully, sticking his head into Arashi's dressing room. "Is Sho-senpai here?"
"Taisuke!" Sho answered from the couch, making Fujigaya's face light up. Sho waved Fujigaya over with the script in his hand, giving Nino an raised eyebrow when Nino didn't budge right away to make space. "It's a coincidence to see you here."
"We're filming a segment on recording studios for Hyakushiki," Fujigaya explains, wedging himself in between Nino and Sho and making himself comfortable. "But Sanada-kun got tangled in some wires, so now we're on a break for a little bit while they fix everything."
Fujigaya gave a little eyeroll, and Sho chuckled.
"Ne, but, Sho-senpai," Fujigaya continued, giving Sho his cutest smile, "after the filming I'm done for the day. Do you have some time? We could get dinner, anything's fine with me, and I don't mind waiting if Arashi-senpai is busy for a while yet."
"That sounds like fun, Taisuke," Sho started, but was interrupted by Nino clearing his throat. "Ah, but," Sho added apologetically, "the five of us have plans to go out already."
"Member-ai," Jun put in from across the room, cracking a knuckle.
"Aw," Fujigaya pouted for a second, but it turned back into the cute smile after a second. "That's fine, I don't mean to trouble you. Sho-senpai can always mail me when he wants to hang out, right?"
"Taisuke has gotten mature, ne," Sho commented casually, making Fujigaya beam even harder as he started to get up.
He didn't get far, though, before a weight fell on his shoulders from behind the couch, forcing him back down with a grunt.
"Fujigaya-kun!" Aiba greeted, chin coming to rest on Fujigaya's shoulder. "It's been a while, right?"
"Y-yeah," Fujigaya answered, blinking up at Sho, who was eyeing the pair of them with amusement. There was a derisive snort from behind Fujigaya which could have come from either Nino or Jun.
"Hey!" Aiba exclaimed, as if the idea had just occurred to him. "We should catch up! We're going out tonight, but Fujigaya-kun can come along if he wants."
"Can I?" Fujigaya made big, surprised, hopeful eyes at Sho, suspecting that Aiba was doing exactly the same thing with his cheek pressed against Fujigaya's. "I don't want to trouble the other members…"
"It's fine, it's fine!" Aiba put in. "Fujigaya was lots of fun last time we went out together, wasn't he?"
"Well…" Nino said, and Aiba and Fujigaya both turned their heads to fix their hopeful gaze on Nino instead, making him flinch. "Fine."
"Are you even legal?" Jun inquired, getting an affronted "Of course I am!" from Fujigaya and a scolding, "Jun-chan!" from Aiba. "All right, whatever, then."
"What about Leader?" Sho asked.
Fujigaya realized that he hadn't even noticed Ohno, sitting in a chair on the other side of the coffee table and looking for all intents and purposes like he was examining his sneaker's laces thoroughly. When Sho called his name, Ohno looked up, blinking.
"Ah, Fujigaya-kun!" he said with a vague smile. "When did you get here? We're going out tonight, want to come?"
"Yay!" Fujigaya and Aiba chorused together. Just then, there was a polite knock on the door and Sho called for whoever it was to come in.
"Tcht, stop letting everybody in here," Jun scolded. Aiba stuck out his tongue at Jun.
"Ah, sorry," the door swung open to reveal Shoon and Keito. "We were looking for Fujigaya-kun."
"He's here," Nino announced, giving Fujigaya a little push off the couch. "Go on, you'd better get your filming done."
"I'll work hard!" Fujigaya promised, giving Sho one last cute smile before trotting over to Shoon and Keito.
"See you later!" Aiba called as Shoon pulled the door shut behind them.
"Wow," Keito said shyly as they headed back down the hallway. "Fujigaya-kun knows all the senpai really well, huh?"
"Intimately," Shoon commented blandly, but then looked innocent when Keito blinked at him.
"Ah, it's an important lesson, Keito-kun," Fujigaya answered with an air of wisdom, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. "It's always best to make friends with as many people as you can, right?"
"Oh!" Keito brightened. "Yabu-kun says that a lot too, ne."
"I just bet he does," Shoon commented.
If you work hard enough, you'll get what you want.
"Taisuke?" Tsubasa answered the phone, balancing the phone between his cheek and his shoulder while he tried to finish getting his costume on.
"Tsubasa-nii!" Fujigaya chirped into the phone. "How are you?"
"I'm well," Tsubasa chuckled, finally getting his pants the rest of the way up and thinking to himself that somebody had sure taught that kid timing. "I'm getting ready to go on stage in a few minutes."
"I know," Fujigaya said, "me too, but I had an important question for Tsubasa-nii."
"Shoot." Tsubasa picked up his shirt and tried to shake all the ruffles the right way.
"Tsubasa-nii owes me a meal, right?" Fujigaya said, and then continued without waiting for an answer. "Well, I've got a shopping date near one of your favorite Italian restaurants, and it's been a while, so how's tonight? Any time is fine~."
"You always say that, when what you really mean is 'right now is best~," Tsubasa scolded gently, and Fujigaya giggled at Tsubasa's impression of him. "But, I'll be a little tired after the show, so tonight might be a little…"
"Onegai please?" Fujigaya pressed, singing a little snatch of his unit's song, and Tsubasa rolled his eyes, even though he couldn't stop the smile from sneaking onto his face. "I sent you mails asking you ahead of time, you know," Fujiaya added, a trace of reproach in his voice, "but Tsubasa-nii isn't so good about answering his mails sometimes, is he?"
"Well…" Tsubasa looked at the shirt in his hands and around the dressing room, heaving a sigh. There was no saying no to Fujigaya when he really put his mind to it. "All right. Tonight. You'll be shopping?" Fujigaya gave a little noise of agreement. "I'll mail you when I get close, then."
"Yay!" Fujigaya cheered, making Tsubasa smile. "One more question."
"Okay," Tsubasa sighed. This is what you get when you let Hideaki spoil the kouhai too much, he scolded himself.
"Can my friend come along too?" Fujigaya asked. "The one I'll be shopping with."
"Is it somebody I know?" Tsubasa wanted to know.
"Hm," Fujigaya hummed, obviously enjoying himself. "Ma~ybe, yo."
Just then a staff member came into to point at his watch with a distressed expression, and Tsubasa waved him off. "Okay, fine, Taisuke's friend can come too. I'll mail you, then."
"Yup!" Fujigaya said goodbye cheerfully, and Tsubasa hung up the phone.
"Kouhai," he grumbled to himself, dropping the phone into his bag and turning back to the shirt, which still had most of the ruffles going the wrong way. When the staff member came back and made louder distressed noises, Tsubasa dropped the shirt in distaste and shoved the staff member out of the room in front of himself, figuring the audience wouldn't mind the change in costume.
Hours and two shows later, stepping into the tiny Italian restaurant, as expected, he wasn't terribly surprised to spot Fujigaya and his friend waving wildly from the only occupied table with the most ridiculous hats.
He was surprised who the 'friend' was.
"Hide?" Tsubasa blinked, trotting over to the table and dropping into the seat across from Tackey. "What are you doing here?"
"Taisuke and I had a shopping date," Tackey replied, reaching over to sling an arm around Fujigaya's shoulders.
"We bought hats!" Fujigaya announced happily.
"I can see that," Tsubasa said. "Well, this certainly explains a lot. I was wondering why you were working so hard to get me out tonight."
"You two are a lot of trouble," Fujigaya announced, pursing his lips. "It's tough getting you in the same place at the same time lately. You do too many solo things!"
"Tell me about it," Tsubasa murmured, meeting Tackey's eyes over the table and giving him an apologetic smile.
Tackey smiled back for a moment before his smile turned sharp. "And while you're at it, you can tell me why you ignore all my mails, but when Taisuke calls…"
Fujigaya just smiled to himself and busied himself with the menu while Tsubasa and Tackey bickered. It was a lot of work getting both of them at the same time, but like Tsubasa said, if you worked hard enough you'll get what you want.
Fujigaya wondered if he could talk Tsubasa and Tackey into having dessert at home.
It's all in the hips.
"Like this?" Fujigaya asked, running the steps again. Yara still frowned and shook his head, and Fujigaya blew his bangs out of his face in exasperation. "What's wrong now?"
"Don't get like that, Taisuke," Yara scolded. "Do you want my help or don't you?"
"Yes, please," Fujigaya said meekly. He heaved a sigh. "But you aren't mean with Senga or Tsuka or Gocchi like this!"
"Senga and Tsukada are lead dancers," Yara pointed out, handing Fujigaya a water bottle, and eyeing him until he unscrewed the cap and took a couple swallows. "And Goseki-sama is a delicate flower."
Fujigaya choked, spilling water down his front.
"Anyway, you can do better than that, and you know it," Yara pointed out. He took the water bottle back and crossed his arms. "So do it again, only right this time."
When Fujigaya failed to improve rapidly enough, Yara took matters into his own hands.
Ages later, when Yara was finally satisfied, Fujigaya was escaping the practice room when he ran smack into Koki.
"Yo, Taisuke!" Koki ran a glance over Fujigaya's limp, sweaty appearance. "Tough practice?"
"Yara-senpai is a slave-driver," Fujigaya complained, but then brightened up a little. "But now I've got down the backdance to Koki-kun's solo perfe~ctly!" Fujigaya gave Koki a coy smile through his damp bangs. "Want to see?"
"Absolutely," Koki slung an arm around Fujigaya's shoulders. "I was just on my way home, but if you get changed quick you can come along and show me all you want."
Fujigaya beamed and dashed off to change, exhaustion forgotten. Yara was right, after all—it was all in the hips.
Collaboration is fun, but your unit knows you best.
"Go away," Fujigaya exclaimed, laughing as he shoved Kawai and Goseki out the door. "Go to your own dressing room!"
"But there's jailbait getting naked in ours!" Kawai protested, just as Fujigaya slammed the door in his face.
"Finally," Kitayama commented from the couch, stretching. "Those guys are too noisy."
"And messy," Yokoo's voice came from the behind the couch, where he was doing his usual job as Dressing Room Beautification Club president.
"Aw, you love them," Fujigaya said easily, coming over to the couch. He pushed Kitayama's feet back so that he could sit on the end of the couch, then looked over the back of it at Yokoo. "And aren't you the one who's always going on about collaborating with other units?"
Kitayama dropped his feet into Fujigaya's lap. "Other units are overrated. You should stick with ours."
"Is that so?" Fujigaya raised an eyebrow. "Are you saying I play with other units too much?"
"I'm saying," Kitayama sat up and grabbed Fujigaya's T-shirt, yanking him over until he was in a sprawl across Kitayama's chest, "that you'd better not forget where you belong."
"Hmm," Fujigaya leaned up to capture Kitayama's mouth, crawling up to press more closely against him when Kitayama kissed him back possessively. When Fujigaya pulled back, licking his lips, Kitayama's eyes were dark and his hands were tight on Fujigaya's waist. "I think you'd better show me. So that I don't forget."
"Don't act like that isn't what you wanted all along," Yokoo breathed against Fujigaya's ear, and Fujigaya shivered as Yokoo's weight settled against his back.
"I guess you know me pretty well, huh?" Fujigaya asked, turning his head to get a kiss from Yokoo as well.
"Collaboration is fun," Yokoo murmured against Fujigaya's mouth, "but your unit knows you best."
Treating your kouhai well pays off in the end.
"Sure, Taipi," Senga answered when Fujigaya stuck his head in the door which connected their rooms and asked if he could use their shower. Senga hadn't bothered to get dressed yet after his, lounging around on his bed with just a towel around his waist.
"What's wrong with your bathroom?" Nikaido called from the far bed, just to be a dick.
"You can ask Mitsu and Wataru about that," Fujigaya sniffed testily as he stomped across the room towards Senga and Nikaido's bathroom. "Once they're through monopolizing it."
He shut the door in a not-quite slam. The hot water took some of his annoyance away, though, and by the time Fujigaya was stepping out of the bathroom with his towel wrapped around his waist, he didn't really care what the other two Kisumai members were doing in his bathroom, only that he wasn't being included.
He got distracted from his thoughts, however, by the sight of Ft2 that greeted him when the steam had cleared from his vision. Senga was stretched out across his bed, towel slipping off his hips as Tamamori moved a hand underneath it. Nikaido, shirt missing, was sprawled against Senga's other side, kissing him fiercely.
Miyata was on the opposite bed, still fully dressed and swinging his feet, looking perfectly happy with the situation.
"What's with that?" Fujigaya asked Miyata, coming to stand beside him. The view was pretty good, Fujigaya had to admit.
"Miyacchi likes to watch," Tamamori reported, and Nikaido pulled his mouth away from Senga's to snap at Tamamori to stop saying that.
"You gonna watch too, Taipi?" Senga asked, voice breathless, and Fujigaya had to shift his own towel a bit when he looked over to find Senga's hair tousled, lips pink and wet, watching him with interested eyes.
"Help push that bed over here and you can do more than watch," Nikaido growled before seizing Senga's mouth again.
"Mmm, Kitamitsu's going to be pissed he missed this," Miyata commented, not taking his eyes off the action in front of them.
"Pft, serves him right," Fujigaya said. "He's always saying that I spoil you kouhai too much anyway. He doesn't know anything about being a senpai."
"Mm, you do know a lot more about the senpai," Miyata laughed, and then before Fujigaya could retort, Miyata reached over and yanked Fujigaya's towel off.
