I Know a Trick or Two [Bill/Sirius, NC-17]
meanwhile, this was so totally the worst day ever. it started with me sleeping through my alarm and being late for my watching students shift this morning, so the girl who was on before me was pretty pissed off by the time i got there, and i'm taking one of her shifts later in the week cause i felt so bad. then i was falling asleep during class all day, so i didn't catch much of the lesson (this will come back to haunt me later) and ended up going to copy stuff during the second half of the morning in the course of which i lost one of the foam things to my ipod someplace and then broke the copier, which fucked over Aaron who was in on his day off anyhow, so i felt really bad again.
so then in the afternoon, i had a little activity with the harry potter in ancient greek article, which the students completely didn't go for and then it was pouring down rain when i was outside waiting for sam and dad, and at the movie theater i trip up the stairs ala sociofemme and go down like Draco on an aphrodesiac, smashing my knee into the steps and wrenching my shoulder at some point. This made going up the 49 steps to my classroom multiple times much fun for the rest of the day.
so, sean stops by to give me the stuff for study hall, and is like "copy this chart down exactly this way on the board for them. it must look just like this." so i write the whole thing down and put it in a book, but then two seconds before leaving i decide i don't need the book and take it out of my bookbag and forget all about the chart, so i show up without their assignment written down and no chart, and have to create the whole thing from memory, positive the whole time that sean is going to come in and yell at me, plus certain my verb principle parts are all fucked up and displaying a complete inability to pick the principle parts of a verb from its dictionary entry.
one of the girls is like "can you look at all my verb endings for the synopsis?" and i do, and it sort of all looks okay, except for the two forms they did this morning but i was blatantly sleeping through, so i'm like, i think these are mixed up, and she's like what? and we look at her notes and i just don't think it's right, and she gets all upset, and is looking at other people's notes. meanwhile, i just have no idea what the answer is but i keep insisting her endings don't make sense, so finally sean shows up and i'm like "this isn't right is it?" and he's like "yeah it is, you use the 6th princ. part. here for no real reason" so not only am i totally wrong and screwing people all up, i've brought this girl and myself nearly to tears.
WHY DO THEY KEEP HIRING ME TO DO GREEK WHEN CLEARLY MY GREEK IS WORSE THAN THE GREEK OF JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS WHO'VE BEEN DOING IT FOR TWO WEEKS?!!
